Senior Accountant

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline.
• 2 to 3 years or more of accounting experience.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Well organized, detail oriented, and accurate.
• Strong data and A/P, A/R, and reconciliation skills.
• Intermediate or higher Excel skills.

Day To Day Responsibilities:

As Senior Accountant you will be responsible for various accounting activities, including performing general ledger account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, reconcile bank statements, customer receivables and vendor payables, assist with month-end financial reporting, conduct variance analyses, and create various other reports. You will be collaborating closely with the operating departments throughout the company, finance staff, and Controller.

• Perform all general ledger accounting functions, through the monthly closing and preparation of operating statements for each account.
• Daily bank reconciliations,
• Assist with creating detailed reports and review of monthly billing documentation to aircraft owners.
• Create and process journal entries in the general ledger system.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end financial reporting.
• Conduct periodic reviews of fixed assets.
• Assist with preparation of FET return and reconcile balances to general ledger.
• Continuously review existing financial processes to identify and recommend improvements.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of strong internal controls.
• Other duties may be assigned, as needed.
