The Sr. GL Accountant will perform accounting transactions and financial reporting analysis for the accounting department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Accurate and timely reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. This includes preparing and/or auditing journal entries and completion of account reconciliations and related analysis, while ensuring supporting documentation is accurate and in compliance with company policies.
· Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with team members, business finance leaders, and other internal customers to research issues, determine solutions, and resolve in a timely manner.
· Timely completion of assigned duties and deliverables according to set deadlines and the monthly and quarterly close schedules.
· Preparation of quarterly and year-end audit schedules.
· Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with team members, business finance leaders, and other internal customers to research issues, determine solutions, and resolve in a timely manner.
· Effective interaction and communication with business finance leadership on questions and concerns.
· Identify gaps in existing policies and procedures and implement process improvements, as needed.
· Design, modify, and/or maintain process and procedure documentation.
· Involvement in design, compliance, and enforcement of internal controls.
· Assist in the development of policies, systems, special financial studies of major importance.
· Participate in payroll/benefit related projects as needed.
Education and Experience Profile
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting
· 4-6+ years accounting experience
Required Skills
· Knowledge of SAP system is a plus.
· Ability to coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills
· Must maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
· Must have strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills, and ability to close out issues.
· Consistent in performance and practices ethical, professional behavior at all times.
· Works well independently and can work cooperatively with team members.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Required to stay current on new and evolving technical accounting.
Work Environment:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Pay Range: $75,312-$110,458.
This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
