Pro-Vac is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in Cost Accounting!

THE POSITION:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the company's financial procedures, records, and statements for compliance with laws and regulations. Duties may include assuming a leadership role to guide accounting personnel in daily tasks, reviewing financial data to make forecasting decisions and communicating with company Executives about financial strategies. This includes being knowledgeable in areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general posting rules, comfortable with accounting software (we use Service Titan and Intact-Sage). - Well versed in principles of accounting, bookkeeping, cost accounting and construction accounting.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which reflects professionalism and respect.
- Experience with a large-scale accounting system.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate financial and accounting records and identify problems.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented.
- Strong background in Fixed Assets.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Advanced level knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage various areas of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to include reconciling Fixed Assets, A/R, and A/P, to the GL.
- Ability to manage and have vast knowledge of each of our accounting teams roles.
- Familiarity with external auditors, specifically training our staff processes to match audit requirements and fulfill diligence requests.
- Implementing accounting processes.
- Ability to look at existing work processes and create a plan to streamline them.
- Recommend ways to reduce cost and enhance revenue.

QUALFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or other closely related field.
- Accounting: Minimum of five (5) years (Preferred).
- CPA, CFA, or Master's degree (Preferred)
