United Way Worldwide is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, reporting, and compliance activities. Working closely with the Finance team, this individual will oversee various accounting functions, including but not limited to, general ledger maintenance, financial analysis, budgeting, and audit preparation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity. Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties of Position:
- Prepare the month end close journal entries for responsible areas;
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and perform variance analysis;
- Develop and refine monthly responsibilities to be in compliance with policy and internal controls;
- Maintain organized, accurate and complete accounting records;
- Assist the Sr Manager and Controller with annual audit, reporting, and other projects as assigned;
- Work cross-functionally with other members of the finance team and departments within UWW for various projects and initiatives;
- Participate in various business processes and technology integration initiatives;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Reports to the Sr Manager of Accounting.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field;
- CPA preferred but not required;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff;
- Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required.

SALARY STATEMENT
The budgeted lifespan salary range for this position is currently $75,000 to $85,000 per year. Salaries are determined by several factors including applicant’s knowledge, skills, experience, position, equity, and market.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical prowess, and effective communication skills to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to strategic decision-making processes by harnessing the power of data lake technologies and predictive analytics tools.
