Compensation: $39.00/hr
Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with AP, payroll and general ledger activities. Performs month-end closing activities, including month-end account reconciliations. Assists with all other daily activities of the Accounting Department and executes special projects as directed by the CFO and Controller. Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of the Behavioral Health Service Line.

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree Accounting, Finance or related field - Preferred
• 4+ years of experience in Healthcare Accounting - Required
• Experience in Business Objects or similar software, Power Point, and relational data bases. - Required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:
• Ability to access, understand and explain financial reports.
• Ability to analyze and articulate variances in Net Revenue.
• Ability to prepare and present executive reports.
• Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Excel functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, and graphs.
• Skill in analyzing financial statements to evaluate an organization's fiscal health and locate causes of variance in business operations.
• Skill in assigning the appropriate level of authority to coincide with delegated work activities.
• Skill in providing SMA, Budget, and Medicare Exhibit guidance.
•Thorough knowledge of Cash Revenue.
