This role supports the organizational financial objectives by executing a variety of accounting duties according to established policies and procedures, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and taxes in adherence with GAAP standards as well as local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist in cash management by monitoring cash balances and recording daily bank activity.
  • Create and/or review journal entries.
  • Conducts monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts.
  • Perform monthly close and all balance sheet reconciliations and analyses to ensure financial statement fidelity.
  • Completes month-end closing and financial reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation.
  • Assists in creating operating budgets and enters into accounting system.
  • Provides management and governmental reporting as required.
  • Maintains professional relationships with vendors, subcontractors, financial institutions and other Company personnel.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Maintaining and supporting a positive team-based work culture.

Qualifications:
  • Accounting or Finance degree or equivalent education and experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years accounting experience required. Property accounting experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, and commitment to accuracy is imperative.
  • General Ledger experience required.
  • Proficient in PC skills, accounting software, Internet based programs, MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and meet strict deadlines.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service, with both external and internal customers.
