Role Highlights:
Location: Welsh, LA (with an option to work some days in Lake Charles)
Responsibilities:
Oversee general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, credit management, and taxes.
Supervise and develop accounting staff, setting goals, providing training, and maintaining solid relationships.
Prepare and review financial statements following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Analyze financial statements, including budget comparisons, gross margin analysis, and financial ratios.
Monitor financial reports to reduce costs and protect assets.
Collaborate with management on financial forecasting.
Stay updated on the financial market to maximize profits and identify expansion opportunities.
Analyze, apply, and improve policies, procedures, controls, and methodologies.
Work with insurance providers to protect assets and offer outstanding benefits to associates.
Oversee year-end tax filings, including payroll, 1099, and property.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Advanced Excel skills.
Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
Familiarity with multiple business systems.
Strong mathematical aptitude.
Innovative thinker for process improvements.
Attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge of financial operations, accounting, compliance, and employee relations.
