Oracle is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong accounting skills to be part of the Finance department as the Senior Accountant. This position will oversee general accounting operations and perform complex accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and verifying agency financial transactions. The Senior Accountant will maintain a ledger to ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks, including transactional processing, financial analysis, annual budget support and monitoring, and monthly financial statements.
As an Oracle Lighting Senior Accountant, you will:
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
- Prepare documentation for External Auditors.
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the CEO if necessary.
- Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist the CEO in running audits.
- Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Complete month-end, quarter end and year-end financial statements and other reporting items accurately and timely
- Prepare monthly closing journal entries and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Manage monthly reconciliation schedules, such as, but not limited to fixed asset and accrued liabilities ledgers
- Perform various analysis on specific General Ledger accounts, budget to actual reports, or reforecast to actual reports.
- Gather and compile the information for the annual and quarterly budget and reforecasts, respectively
- Compile data and schedules required for audits and tax filings
- Protect organization s value and certain payable information by keeping information confidential
- Updates job knowledge by seeking and participating in educational opportunities.
- Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field
- Minimum 5 years' of accounting experience.
Preferred:
- Minimum 2 years' related supervisory experience.
- CPA
