Responsibilities
- Contribute to creation of communications plans that meet client objectives
- Support on multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence – this includes creating media materials to support client campaigns.
- Build relationship with clients and colleague at all levels
- Supervise staff junior to you by motivating, coaching and consistently providing feedback
- Provide cross-team support including preparing client status and activity reports, attending meetings and conference calls, compiling media and competitor coverage audits, coordinating press tour pitching, scheduling, and logistics.
- Support reactive and proactive media relations outreach. Existing media relationships is a plus.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, initiative, and an interest in creative problem-solving.
- Demonstrate an understanding of research techniques, including analysis of media coverage and online conversation (volume and tone).
- Support multiple projects from conception to completion working closely with junior and senior team members, as well as providing oversight to junior team members.
- Manage third-party partnerships (spokespeople, influencers, and field experts).
- Understanding of your client’s business including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers, and competitors in the marketplace.
- Supervise staff junior to you by motivating, coaching, and consistently providing feedback.

Basic Qualifications
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media and publishing
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of study
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong research, writing and editing skills and the ability to develop meaningful contacts/relationships.
- Fundamental understanding of ability to craft a story on behalf of a brand or a client.
- Eagerness to apply cultural happenings and trends to the thinking they are doing on behalf of client
