Job Description:ECU Department of Criminal Justice is currently seeking a Student Research Assistant.
a. Assist with coding, analysis and findings on several research projects, including quantitative data cleaning and running statistical descriptives utilizing statistical softwareb. Conduct literature reviews, analytical bibliographiesc. Potential to assist with drafting research manuscripts (co-authorship credit opportunity)d. Ensure sensitive data is kept secure and confidentiale. Have or be able to complete required IRB (CITI) certificationf. Other duties as assigned
a. No specific major: must have experience in conducting data analysis beyond classwork.b. Demonstrated ability to work with data utilizing STATA and/or SPSSc. Have an interest in social science research on addictions (specific interest related to gambling preferred)d. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a teame. Must have availability to work a minimum of 10 hours/week during traditional workday hours (M-F). Any additional hours may be worked outside of the typical workday.f. Comfort working with diverse populations.
