Self-Direction Direct Support Professional - Baldwinsville Area

Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Liverpool/Baldwinsville area with a college educated woman who uses a wheelchair and requires total assistance with activities of daily living due to a physical disability. She and her staff will provide new hires training on transfers via an electric sit-to-stand or track system. The DSP will drive the person to all of her appointments in her specialized modified van. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in community settings.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with Personal Care, light housekeeping, meal preparation and general independence.

This individual is very shy and introverted and asks that staff encourage her to come out of her shell and explore activities in the community. She is a HUGE Syracuse Orange fan who has a knack for creative writing and enjoys adult coloring books.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience a plus but willing to train. Reliable transportation and a driver's license are required.

Hiring for many shifts with flexibility:

Tuesday 4pm-10pm

Wednesday 8am-10pm

Thursday 8am-10pm

Saturday 8 am - 10 pm

There is an ability for more hours once hired on. Back-up staffing needs have been identified! Flexibility to fill-in for other staff is a MAJOR plus. Individual willing to consider different schedule/shifts for the right applicant. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour. EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
