Job Description
AHRC NYC is looking to immediately hire Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Full and Part-time positions in ALL FIVE BOROUGHS. The pay rate for this position is between $17 and $19 per hour. In addition, this position comes with a very generous benefit package which includes ZERO COST MEDICAL and VISION PLANS for BOTH SINGLE and FAMILY PLANS, dental, generous paid time off, commuter benefits, tuition assistance, a 403(b)retirement plan with a matching benefit, health savings accounts, and discount programs.
Driver's License Required for most day and evening shifts.....NOT Required for Overnight shift!

- The oversight of all safety and health considerations
- Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
- Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
- Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.
Qualifications
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
- Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
- High school education/GED preferred.
