DESCRIPTION
The Operations Senior Specialist is responsible for assisting and coordinating the planning and execution of AT-RISK International’s client and internal operations in delivering services related to Threat Assessment Investigations, Protection, Training, Consultation, Risk Assessment and Mitigation, and overall operational requirements. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.
The Operations Senior Operations Specialist will provide remote and on-call support and play a key role in assisting with developing, coordinating, and implementing security support and risk mitigation activities. The position requires multiple professional skills, including familiarity with security system concepts and technical applications, behavioral-based threat assessment and management, security program management, close protective operations for low-profile operations, public safety liaison, and interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. The Operations Senior Specialist should have a transformational mindset and be an advocate for change and innovation.
This role will also manage AT-RISK International’s multi-state security licensing compliance.
Preferred Locations: Northern Virginia/Metro D.C. area or Seattle/Tacoma WA state
DUTIES
The Operations Senior Specialist has three Performance Evaluation Critical Elements:
OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT
- Assist in providing security, risk mitigation, investigative, protective, threat assessment, and consultation support as assigned.
- Manage AT-RISK International’s multi-state security licensing requirements.
- Provide support to the company's Senior Leadership Team.
- Assist with managing presentations, reports, proposals, and other internal and external deliverables.
- Maintain liaison with local officials and operational relationships with local client management, their security team senior managers, and on-site agency officials to address security matters or issues affecting the clients' critical aspects when directed.
- Coordinate and assist in identifying, reviewing, and interpreting information on security concerns of known or suspected threats.
- Use and incorporate intelligence in work, projects, and assignments.
- Participate in AT-RISK’s “on-call” rotation
- Assist in building and developing business relationships for future AT-RISK International work.
- Investigative Program Duties:
- Perform thorough research and case investigations as directed.
- Provide project management oversight, including timely completion and delivery of reports.
- Protective Program Duties:
- Conduct and participate in protective operations and assignments.
- Coordinate, plan, and provide for staffing requests of operations.
- Submit timesheets and expense reports for protective operations.
- Interact with clients as necessary to help ensure customer satisfaction.
- Consulting Program Duties:
- Assist with security surveys as required.
- Assist with client consultation for technical, administrative, and operational requirements.
COMMUNICATIONS AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT
- Establish productive work relationships with clients and internal and external partners.
- Develop/further AT-RISK International’s mission and objectives.
- Meet with clients to continually assess the effectiveness of support and/or lessons learned.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine requirements and expand AT-RISK International’s reach.
ADMINISTRATIVE: DELIVERABLES, SUPPORT, POLICY, PROCEDURE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Perform administrative and operational functions in compliance with policy and procedure.
- Manage AT-RISK International’s multi-state security licensing requirements.
- Conduct project management, including project updates, time logging, and expenses, and maintain records and files.
- Utilize the Salesforce platform for project and partner management and other company-identified information management tools and systems. Attends industry-related training events, conferences, seminars, or meetings to develop expertise in threat assessment methodology and practice, investigation, and intelligence practice.
- Safeguards and maintains sensitive and confidential information.
- Provides administrative and logistical support to company leaders.

- Possesses computer skills for analyzing and assessing information, report writing, charting case progress, interdepartmental communication, and ensuring records management and privacy.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- The suitable candidate must possess at least five to eight years of related experience in security, law enforcement, protection, and investigations.
- The suitable candidate must have experience managing security license requirements for individuals and businesses.
- Active security licensure within the state of residence and any additional certifications are highly sought after.
- The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and, ideally, possess a working knowledge of Salesforce for enhanced efficiency in managing tasks and communication.
General Requirements
Education: A bachelor’s degree is highly desired.
ASIS CPP, PCI, or PSP is highly desired.
The job may require standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods. Exposure to extreme environmental conditions occurs occasionally.
Travel for this role is estimated to be around 10 to 25%, based on client needs, internal company requirements, and participation in conferences or events.
