Veterans Security Operations is seeking a full-time Operations Manager.
Position Summary:
As an integral part of our leadership team, the Operations Manager will be entrusted with the comprehensive oversight of our organization's operational processes. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including but not limited to, overseeing the hiring needs, orchestrating targeted training programs for new hires, refining skill sets of our existing workforce in the security industry, and ensuring operational efficiency across the board. The Operations Manager will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing procedural efficiencies, ensuring all team members execute their responsibilities timely and effectively. A pivotal aspect of this role involves upholding and elevating the quality of our security services to meet, if not surpass, the expectations of our clients. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Operations Manager plays a crucial role in sustaining the operational excellence and service quality that Veterans Security Operations is known for.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
- Purchase materials, plan inventory, maintain fleet, and oversee organizational efficiency
- Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives to meet company goals.
- Manage budgets and forecasts
- Perform quality controls and ensure customer needs are met
- Train and supervise staff
- Find ways to increase quality of product service
Requirements and skills:
- Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role
- Experience or knowledge in private security sector
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Experience budgeting and forecasting
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations in the security industry
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field preferred but not required
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
- Ability to work a fulltime schedule
- Must be available nights and weekends to accommodate business needs as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
