IT PROFESSIONAL - SECURITY OPERATIONS CENTER OPERATOR
Job Description:
Performs core functions of the Constellation Security Operations Center (ESOC); monitor and remediate intrusion alarms, dispatch law enforcement /first responders to security incidents, answer and prioritize incoming emergency and routine security event calls, log personnel into substations, log and manage status of site intrusion systems. Write incident reports documenting security incidents, make notifications and maintain shift activity logs. Identify security system issues, create service requests for system repairs, and validate corrective maintenance. Perform activity specific actions as detailed in the ESOC Policies and Procedures Manual, adhere to compliance requirements and performan regulatory procedures. ESOC Operator position is fixed shift, 24/7.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
-Monitor and remediate intrusion detection alarms -Answer, prioritize, and respond to telephonic security incident reporting -Manage and log site entry/exit system disarm events -Write and submit security incident reports -Submit service requests for corrective maintenance of security systems, perform service ticket validation -Perform and document system checks and video tours -Perform forensic investigative support of video and access control records -Perform administrative ESOC tasks
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
General: Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to write grammatically correct and stylistically appropriate business communications.
Ability to work effectively under high stress situations, to rapidly assess and respond to life safety and security incidents.
Core Technical: Demonstrated proficiency on the following systems: CCure 9000E, ExacqVision, Andover Continuum, Pelco Control Point, Compass, DMP, D3, JIRA, PassagePoint, Constellation Alert, Microsoft Office Suite, and any other systems used by ESOC at the time of application.
Core Business Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Constellation Business structure, ESOC Policies and Procedures, Constellation NERC CIP Policies and Procedures, Substation Operation, and CISS Policy and Procedures.
Education: Minimum AA degree, or High School or GED with 2 years of Security System or IT experience.
POSITION SCOPE:
Enables ESOC to achieve core objectives protecting Constellation critical infrastructure, assets and personnel through 24/7 monitoring of physical security intrusion detection systems, access controls, and security call center reporting.
Additional Notes:
The ideal candidates would have experience in a dispatch type of role where they are taking in information and then dispatching resources.
