Responsibilities
The following is a list of roles and responsibilities for the Head of Campus Security Operations position:
- Oversees and directs personnel on the operation of 24-hour Building Security Officers.
- Oversees and directs personnel on the operation of Event Security Officers.
- Sets the direction for Security Operations that Live Nation personnel must follow.
- Development and administration of Mann Center-developed security training for all Security Personnel (including maintaining training records).
- Development and administration of Mann Center-developed security training for all Guest Services/Ushers Personnel (includes maintaining training records).
- Development and administration of Mann Center-developed security training for Front Office (e.g., Active Shooter and Workplace Violence) (includes maintaining training records).
- Oversight and approval of third-party security vendor's security training (e.g., Live Nation)
- Auditing of training records of third-party security vendor's security training (e.g., Live Nation)
- Ensures compliance with local safety codes and security protocols.
- Oversees and directs the hiring, training, and operation of 24-hour Building Security Officers and Event Security Officers.
- Oversees and directs off-duty or contracted Law Enforcement paid detail.
- Establishes and/or maintains building and event security operating manuals, logs, and documentation.
- Serves as a lead administrator for security systems, such as CCTV systems, access control, key control, and drone detection systems.
- Is the primary point of contact for shared law enforcement intelligence data from sources including:
- U.S. Department of Homeland Security
- Federal Bureau of Investigation
- Philadelphia Police Department
- Administers, updates, and ensures compliance with Emergency Response Plans, Business Continuity Plans, and other risk management plans.
- Organizes and conducts required tabletop or actual emergency response exercises as required by governing policies.
- Performs security audits and risk vulnerability assessments of Campus operations to identify potential concerns, prioritizes operational gaps, and identifies corrective actions to improve Campus Security.
- Issues and administers building credentials for all part- and full-time employees. Oversees the operation of the electronic building access control system and the vendor and visitor log.
- Is responsible for the inventory of supplies for security teams, including appropriate parts and repairs of the magnetometers, gate supplies, and accessories.
- Is responsible for parking lot access control for staff, artist tours, and visitors, including maintaining a parking control system, annual issuance of parking permits, and monitoring parking security compliance.
- Conduct internal investigative work as directed.
- Works with operations personnel to ensure proper emergency preparedness and communication with first responders.
