Job description

As a Quantitative Research Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the research, development, implementation and optimization of systematic trading strategies across liquid marco markets, including equities, commodities, fixed income, FX and volatility markets. The successful candidate will possess a strong quantitative background, a deep understanding of financial markets, and the ability to apply advanced statistical techniques to uncover profitable opportunities.
What you'll do:
Systematic Strategy Development: Aid the portfolio management team in the design, development and implementation of systematic quantitative trading strategies across liquid macro markets.
Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify market trends, correlations, and patterns that can be leveraged to enhance trading strategies.
Model Development: Build and enhance quantitative models to forecast market movements, optimize portfolio construction, and manage risk effectively.
Backtesting and Simulation: Conduct rigorous backtesting and simulation analyses to assess the performance of trading strategies and ensure robustness under various market conditions.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including portfolio managers, traders, and technology professionals, to integrate quantitative strategies into our overall investment process.
Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of industry developments, research findings, and technological advancements to continuously enhance the firm's quantitative capabilities.
What we need from you:
Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative field such as finance, mathematics, statistics, or related discipline.
Strong knowledge of probability and statistics (e.g., machine learning, time-series analysis)
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB for quantitative analysis and model development
Strong understanding of financial instruments, market microstructure, and macroeconomic factors influencing global markets.
Prior experience working in a data driven research environment (experience in systematic strategy development preferred).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex quantitative concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Previous experience in a financial services or investment management environment is preferred.
