Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to support our airplane programs located in Everett, WA. We are hiring Associate, Mid-Level, and Senior engineers to support our Second Shift production lines. A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and a steadfast desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out in the factory, interacting with mechanics and electricians, and directly supporting the production system. They will also be expected to collaborate with teams located at our Global partner sites.

This position is for the 2nd shift following a 4x9 schedule. Employees work 4 days per week from 1:30 PM to 11:00 PM, either Monday through Thursday OR Tuesday through Friday. Employees are paid for a full 40-hour workweek and have 3 days off every week.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies.
  • Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build.
  • Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization.
  • Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Resolves complex technical problems.
  • Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained.
  • Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities.
  • Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods.
  • Documents and communicates producibility best practices.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.
Work Authorization:
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes Manufacturing Engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience working in an engineering discipline.
  • Ability to collaborate with both domestic and global engineering workforce as well as manufacturing team members on the factory floor.
  • 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness and ability to work Second Shift.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typical Education/Experience:
  • Associate: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
  • Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+2 years' related work experience).
  • Senior: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).

Pay Range Summary:

Summary pay range:
Associate (Level 2): $80,750 - $109,250
Mid-Level (Level 3): $96,050 - $129,950
Senior (Level 4): $117,300 - $158,700
