Seasonal Mail Room Clerk

KeyStaff is currently recruiting for a Temporary Seasonal Mail Room Clerk located in Fort Bend, TX!

Pay: Temporary position, $15.00 hour, based upon qualifications (40 hours/week)

Duration: Approximately 11 weeks December 18th 2023 to February 23, 2024

Duties:

• Sign for incoming registered or certified mail
• Sort mail by department, location or category (e.g. bills, notices, personal)
• Stamp and record date of receipt and sender’s name
• Keep records of incoming packages, including their weight, return address and description
• Collect and prepare correspondence to be mailed (e.g. applying appropriate stamps, verifying addresses)
• Correct and reforward misdirected mail
• Arrange for express delivery when needed
• Distribute mail to individuals or departments
• Track mailroom supplies (e.g. stamps, envelopes, address labels)

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• exceptional organizational skills
• some data entry
• ability to retain and follow detailed instructions
• work in small confined area
• team player
• ability to learn and comprehend established office routines and policies from oral and written instructions
• understanding of ethics-confidentiality issues
• ability to push mail cart weighing approximately 100 lbs.

Requirements:

• Must be able to commute to the location in the job description (Fort Bend, TX)
• No felonies or theft-related misdemeanor in the past 7 years
• Must be able to Stand, Walk, Bend and Reach throughout shift
• Must be able to work the schedule indicated on the job description and understand that this is a temporary assignment
