KPMG is currently seeking a Seasonal Intern, Firm Taxes, Tax Research & Planning for Finance & Accounting - Partner Taxes.
Responsibilities:
- Research and summarize tax issues and conclusions pertaining to partnership and individual taxation
- Communicate Tax Research positions and tax legislative developments to other members of internal compliance team and collaborate with team members to ensure tax positions are accurately reflected on tax returns.
- Assist in the development and testing of state templates for individual income tax return preparation
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required
Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree and have obtained by the start date, or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent program from an accredited college or university
- Former KPMG intern or deferred KPMG associate hire is preferred
- Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above
- Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication, research, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
- Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) with the ability to learn new analytical tools preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
