Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Seasonal Assistant Baker to join our culinary team for the busy season with variable start/end dates between April 1 and September 30.. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and baking of a wide range of pastries, and other baked goods to serve across multiple outlets and special events. This position is perfect for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, professional baking environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations of the bakery section within our commissary kitchen, supporting the production of high-quality baked goods.
- Help with the preparation and baking of a variety of pastries and other bakery items.
- Ensure all products meet our high standards for quality and consistency.
- Follow recipes and bakery procedures while contributing to new menu items and seasonal offerings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including the ordering and receiving of supplies.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of baked goods to various outlets and events.
- Provide support to other areas of the kitchen as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor, adapting to operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in baking or culinary education is preferred.
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- A passion for food and commitment to culinary excellence.
- A passion for baking and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.
- Understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under pressure.
