About the role
We are looking for a Seamstress who is passionate in providing only the highest levels of customer service. This position reports to our Laundry Manager. Work authorization for this location is required.
What you will do
Assures that the look and fit of Employee Uniforms meet exacting standards. Repairs. textiles throughout the hotel as needed.
What you bring
High School education or equivalent experience.
Proper use of tape measure, sewing machines, serger machine, blind stitch hemmer and iron
Ensure that sewing machines are in working order and sewing equipment is ready for daily use
Keep a daily log of what is being done
Schedule guest and employee appointments as necessary
Accurately measure guest and employee's sizes using tape measure to ensure proper fit of garments
Alter and repair garments, pillows, couch covers and replace zippers
Attach labels to employee uniforms
Good hand-eye coordination
Good communication skills
Some knowledge of upholstery and use of embroidery machine
Exceptional customer service and ensure that all tasks are done in a timely manner
