Seamstress/Tailor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Tailor to join our team! As a Tailor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality alterations and repairs to garments. We typically work on gowns, custom outfits and custom suits! Your attention to detail and expertise in garment construction will be a large part of your personal success here and the success of our team!

Duties:
- Perform alterations and repairs on various types of garments, including dresses, suits, pants, shirts, and jackets
- Take accurate measurements to ensure proper fit
- Use sewing machines (industrial), sergers, and other tools to complete alterations
- Replace zippers, buttons, and other fasteners as needed
- Hem garments and adjust lengths as required
- Make adjustments to waistbands, sleeves, shoulders, and other areas for optimal fit
- Collaborate with customers to understand their specific alteration needs
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques
- Proficient in using sewing machines and other tailoring tools

-Stoning and gem detailing will also be a large part of the process
- Attention to detail and precision in measurements and alterations
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients effectively

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
