Job description

We are seeking a skilled Seamstress/Tailor to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for providing high-quality alterations and tailoring services to our team members. If you have a passion for fashion, garment construction, and customer service, we would love to hear from you.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Perform alterations and repairs on various types of garments
- Take accurate measurements and ensure proper fit
- Sew, hem, and stitch garments using sewing machines and hand tools
- Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or questions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, basic housekeeping duties to keep room in order and organized.

-Receive uniforms, maintain and store uniform inventory, record all uniforms issued and returned, damaged and disposed

- Wash, dry and fold laundry and iron when needed

-Be able to thread machine, wind bobbins, make minor repairs to machine when necessary, change out needle, clean bobbin carriage

- Be able to use seam ripper, hem pants, sewing on buttons and snaps, making and attaching belt loops

-Be able to alter shirt sleeves, pants at waist and legs to fit, replacing zippers, making aprons, pocket.

-Assist with getting quotes and ordering supplies

-Greet guest and team members eagerly upon arrival to the casino/hotel, always maintain a proactive guest service approach.

-Maintaining attendance to ensure Company has necessary coverage to provide efficient internal/external guest service standards.

-Will be assigned other duties as needed to assist with the department

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform these jobs successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Individual must be at least 18 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma (or equivalent). Guest Services experience preferred however not required. Inventory and clothing retail experience preferred.

- Previous experience as a Seamstress/Tailor or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing methods
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and other tailoring tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

· Must be punctual and dependable in reporting to work as scheduled and completing assigned tasks.

· Read, write and speak the English language. Read professional publications, memos, emails, logs, newsletters and documents.

· Must be willing and able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays and travel between locations when necessary.

EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, WORK CARDS

Must be able to provide the following cards or work authorization documents: All documents required to show the incumbent is eligible to work in the United States. Required to pass a drug test and obtain and maintain a gaming license to work in a casino from the Otoe Missouria Gaming Commission. It is always the responsibility of the Team Member to have all appropriate document(s) current and valid.

Team Member must be able to stand for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particulates, including second-hand environmental smoke. The Team Member is regularly exposed to extreme heat and cold and all-weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is mostly moderate and occasionally loud. The Team Member may rarely be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with irate or difficult people.
