Scientific Publication/Grants Writer and Outreach/Events Coordinator

MEDICAL RESEARCH MANAGEMENT SUPPORT & COMMUNICATIONS

We are looking for an immediate hire at the Fort Lawton complex in Discovery Park supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The position supports leading edge innovation in regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, medical device manufacturing, and biofabrication.

--Duties--

• Provide management support for multi-disciplinary medical scientific teams.
• Maintain meeting minutes, agendas, and regular communications digests (email and other electronic formats) supporting medical research teams.
• Maintain and track team milestones and create communication tools in support of team awareness of milestones and progress.
• Develop and maintain written content for website, social media and media notifications, and supporting/managing public outreach and internal communications.
• Support event planning, supporting the coordination of presentations and agendas for medical conferences.
• Assist with editing and writing of grant applications.
• Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.

• Demonstrated excellent skills at maintaining meeting minutes, agendas, and regular communications digests (email and other electronic formats) supporting medical research teams
• Ability to develop, maintain and track team milestones and create communication tools in support of team awareness of milestones and progress.
• Proven experience writing content for website, social media and media notifications, and supporting/managing public outreach and internal communications.
• Experience with event planning and coordinating presentations and agendas for medical conferences.
• Detail oriented with excellent written, verbal, interpersonal cross-functional collaboration, editing and communication skills.
• Communications experience in the medical grant writing desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
