School Nurse

Blessed Sacrament School is a high-performing K-8 Catholic school in the heart of Providence. We are looking for a part-time School Nurse with either an RN, CNA, or LPN license to help take care of our kiddos. We have room to be flexible with your schedule, but ideally, you'll be with us five days a week.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students in the school setting
- Assess and triage medical emergencies and provide appropriate care until emergency medical services arrive
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor and manage chronic health conditions of students, such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students
- Educate students and staff on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Participate in school-wide health promotion activities

Skills:
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle medical emergencies with confidence
- Knowledge of state regulations and guidelines related to school nursing practices
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems
