SalaryThe School Nurse position requires that the school coordinate school hours and students' plan of care with the Tavares Charge Nurse and educational department to provide an integrated and comprehensive approach t the care and educational needs of each child. Conduct rounds every hour and prn, of classrooms and provide direct nursing interventions necessary t maintain students' health status. consistent with knowledge and skill level.Facilitate the arrival and dismissal of the students and their equipment. Check with the charge nurse during classroom hours for changes, illnesses, etc.
Assist field tri staff, and participate in/on field trips as assigned. Assist in starting, running, and/or disconnecting tube feedings as requested by the Tavares charge nurse. Access to all student/resident records. Maintains student medical records when applicable.
Check with the charge nurse on classroom information/updates. Document students in their records as required.Suction students/residents as needed and remain in the education department until all students have been dismissed. In addition, to attend and participate in ongoing in-service education. Any and any other duties assigned by the education director and nursing director.
