Job Title: Summer SchoolRegistered Nurse
Part-time, Contract
Position Overview: As a Summer SchoolRegistered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of a single student during the Summer School Program. You will be responsible for providing basic medical care, administering medications and assisting in transportation. This is a temporary position that will last for the duration of the Summer School Program.
Responsibilities:
- Assist student in their transportation to and from school
- Assessing and monitoring the health needs of students attending the Summer School Program.
- Administering medication and providing necessary treatments as prescribed.
- Responding to medical emergencies, providing first aid, and coordinating with emergency services, if needed.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential medical records for all students.
- Communicating with parents/guardians regarding any health-related concerns or incidents.
- Collaborating with the Summer School staff to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in RI
- Previous experience working as a Registered Nurse in a school, camp, or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Proficient in assessing and responding to medical emergencies.
- First Aid and CPR certification required (BLS certification preferred).
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols.
