Position Description:
Provide supervision and planning for a School Age Care program site in accordance with program guidelines and protocols established by Community Education leadership. The Site Supervisor facilitates a stimulating and developmentally appropriate large group care and learning environment before and after school for children in grades K-5 and has primary responsibility for communications with parents, SAC program staff and elementary instructional and building staff. The Site Supervisor directs the work tasks for 2-3 program assistants in the afternoon program. Positions will be blended assignments between Lincoln and Washington Elementary programs.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Post-secondary training in child development, early childhood/elementary, secondary education, recreation, social services, or related field is preferred. Possess or obtain CPR and first aid certificate upon employment. Evidence of previous, successful experience working with School Age children in a large-group care/education environment. Consistent and timely attendance a must.
Other Skills & Abilities:
Skill in building quality relationships with children and able to maintain cooperative staff partnerships. Ability to create activity plans reflective of national out-of-school time standards. Experience in communication skills necessary to develop strong parent/child/school relationship.
Schedule:
This is a split-shift position. The daily work schedule may be adjusted based on daily attendance of participating children. Successful candidate must be able to commit to work days scheduled within a school year calendar.
Monday through Friday during school attendance days.
6:15 AM - 8:45 AM at Washington Elementary and 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM at Lincoln Elementary
8:45-10:00 AM on Friday Mornings - SAC Site Supervisors Team Meeting

B-2-2 $18.16-21.77/hr
