Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic individual with a great personality and exceptional communication skills to join our state of the art orthodontic practice! The perfect candidate for this job must be highly organized, detail-oriented, an excellent multi-tasker, and possess a kind and friendly demeanor. Responsibilities include greeting patients with a smile, scheduling appointments, accepting payments, answering phones and office email, and managing correspondence with other professional dental offices.
Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments using our orthodontic office software (Ortho2 Edge)
- Coordinate with dental providers and other staff members to ensure optimal scheduling and patient flow
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments, procedures, and general information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic medical records system
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatments
- Assist with front desk duties such as greeting patients, checking them in/out, and collecting payments
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate billing and coding for services rendered
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
Qualifications

- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office setting is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using phone systems and scheduling software
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with different departments
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor is a must.
- Dependable and punctual behavior is necessary to maintain a cohesive team environment.

Schedule
- 3 days per week (with an occasional fourth day)
- 8 am to 5 pm
- Lunch break 12:30 to 1:30
- Monday - Thursday (alternating Monday and Thursdays for third work day)
