JOB TITLE: Scheduler
SUPERVISOR: Patient Communication Coordinator
HOURS PER WEEK: 40hrs/Non-exempt
DEPARTMENT: Patient Communications
*Must be located in Oregon or Washington*
Remote work option available after training period of approximately 90 days
HIRING BONUS: $1,000 after 90 days

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To receive appointment calls from in-house and outside the Clinic and to schedule appointments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
1. Schedule appointments daily via computer according to established guidelines. *
2. Retrieve scheduling voice mail messages and return calls or direct message to appropriate party. *
3. Maintain minimum established department call metrics & benchmarks. *
4. Cover other areas of department, as needed.
5. Process appointment reminder reschedules from appointment reminder portal*
6. Process patient appointment reminder opt outs as indicated*
7. Process before and after hour faxes from MASO*
8. Send telephone encounters regarding refills/referrals and patient messages to appropriate pool as designated.*
9. Process dismissed patient information, as needed.
10. Ensure orders, follow-up appointments, and lab orders are in place before scheduling.
11. Verify insurance via appropriate method and add insurance on new patients and established patients into EPIC*
12. Attend work regularly as scheduled. *
13. Attend department meetings.
14.Participate as an active team member in a patient-centered medical home.
15.Other duties as assigned.
16.Employees will not be discourteous or disrespectful to a customer or any member of the public while in the course and scope of company business. *
17.Work in a cooperative manner with management/supervision, coworkers, customers, and vendors. *
18. Assist Administration/Business Office with various tasks, as needed.
19. Abide by company policies. *
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
