Sand Plant Operator / Miner

Madison County Sand is looking for a Sand Plant Operator / Miner for our sand and gravel production facility located in Collinsville, IL. While we prefer an experienced candidate, we will consider candidates that are willing to be trained. Duties will include general labor tasks, heavy equipment operation, dredge operation, mechanical repairs and maintenance, electrical work, and other duties as skills allow.

• Experience operating a loader, an excavator, or other heavy equipment will be considered a plus
• We are willing to train the candidate so the ability to follow instructions and willingness to learn are required traits
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality are all required
• Good organizational skills and ability to work well with others required
• Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions, and can't be afraid of heights
• Experience in the sand and gravel industry or operating a dredge is a plus
• Mechanical skills, fabricating ability, or electrical skills are a plus
• Background check, drug test, and fitness for duty test all required before being hired
• Minimum of high school diploma or GED strongly preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
