SAN FRANCISCO, CA (LOCAL CANDIDATES) - A wonderful family is looking for a FULL-TIME HOUSEHOLD MANAGER/NANNY to handle all household needs in addition to providing after-school care for their two children, ages 3 and 6 years old. Their son attends school from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and their daughter from 9 am to 5 pm. The work schedule would be from 11 am to 7 pm, with some flexibility.
The role includes heavy household management duties from 11 am to 4 pm, such as meal preparation, cooking, grocery shopping, tidying, and doing laundry. The candidate will also be responsible for personal tasks such as handling contractors, package returns, making reservations, and travel planning. Heavy cleaning is not required, as a housekeeper comes twice a week.
From 4:30 pm to 7 pm, the candidate will be responsible for picking up the children from their schools, providing engaging activities, and assisting in their bedtime routines. The ideal candidate should have experience in household management, be a quick learner, and be confident in all aspects of management. Also, they should be willing to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally. They already have plans to go to Whistler in February! Must have a valid passport or be willing to get one.
The family follows child-centered, gentle parenting. They do not allow screen time for their children. Although it's a heavy household manager role, they are looking for someone passionate about childcare. The ideal candidate is loving, caring, and comfortable giving the children space to explore their environment and choose their activities. They seek a candidate who is well-educated, professional, and dependable. Excellent communication skills are a must, in addition to a willingness to receive feedback from the parents. They prefer someone upfront and not passive-aggressive. A huge plus if you speak Mandarin, but it is not a firm requirement. The children are in a Mandarin immersion school.
The family is a shoes-off household and uses only green cleaning products. The candidate must be fully vaccinated for COVID and COVID booster, flu, and TDAP. The pay is commensurate with experience, and the benefits include paid sick days, holidays, vacation, and health insurance. The start date is ASAP.
