A lovely, warm family in Ross, CA are seeking a live-in or live-out career nanny/house manager for their 3 children, aged 4, 6, and 8-years-old. The schedule will typically be 7am-7pm, 5 days per week. The family would love for one of these days to fall on the weekend since there is a lot of dropping off and picking up from activities and extracurriculars.
The mornings will entail getting the children breakfast/dressed and dropped off at school (within walking distance to the family’s home), then school pick-up is at 2pm. Candidates would use the time in between to address any basic household management, such as healthy and simple food and snack prep for the children, ordering items, running errands, dry cleaning runs, light organization, managing deliveries/packages, taking inventory, letting vendors and contractors onto the property, etc. The children are in bed by 7pm each night. A housekeeper comes twice per week, so no cleaning is required, and she typically also manages the children’s laundry.
The successful candidate will be comfortable being hands-on with 3 very active, curious children, and be able to juggle busy schedules, school activities, play-dates, etc. behavior, learning and enrichment, and making sure the children are on top of their homework. Candidates should be warm, positive, empathetic, and patient, with a professional demeanor and the ability to respect boundaries and read the room- i.e. know when to step-up and when to step back and keep busy doing other things while the parents spend quality time with the children, which they love to do.
Candidates must be able to drive and have a clean and current driving license for local driving only. The family will provide a vehicle for use on duty. There will be travel but typically only to locations where there is domestic support and not for long periods (e.g. boomerang trips to Hawaii or the Bahamas).
Those candidates seeking to live-in will be provided their own private wing of the family’s home, complete with an en-suite bathroom, and separate entrance. The candidate will be required to share the family kitchen, though the family is happy to provide a refrigerator in the candidate’s room if they like. Competitive compensation is being offered to the successful candidate. If you are interested, with plenty of multiples experience, and a US passport, Green Card or EAC, please apply to KP513.
