Nanny/Household Manager

Conscientious Household Manager/Nanny Needed in San Francisco, CA!

• Compensation: $50+/hour DOE & benefits package including healthcare and 401k
• State date: ASAP
• Location: San Francisco, CA (currently in Castro neighborhood and seeking to relocate to West Portal)
• Children: Almost 6 year old boy & 2.5 year old girl
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 11am - 7pm or 7 hour shifts with one 5 hour evening (family can guarantee 40 hours, if needed)
• The family’s 6 year old boy is energetic, observant, and thoughtful. He loves Legos and 5 mile hikes with his family! Their 2 year old girl is wise beyond her years, active and very verbal. She loves art, playing with Play-doh, drawing, and playing on the playground. Both children attend Mandarin immersion schools until 4:30/5pm.
• Responsibilities of house manager/nanny: While the children are in school, duties pertaining to the household, including grocery shopping, planning/cooking meals for the family, pre-planning children’s snacks, family laundry, loading/unloading dishwasher, maintaining children’s bedrooms/areas, liaising with contractors, light errands including package returns, travel planning with family’s guidance, and more child-focused tasks such as rotating out clothes that no longer fit or books that they have outgrown. When the children are finished with school, duties include transporting children home from two different schools, and incorporating engaging and interactive play.
• Ideal candidate possesses a strong attention to detail, can understand a task and follow through consistently, is mindful and communicative, enjoys a multifaceted role of both childcare and household management duties, and is a loving caregiver.
• The family’s parenting style is progressive and child-centered, allowing the children to follow their own passions. They believe in practical-related consequences (not time-outs). It is important that they give their children space to do the activities they each enjoy, be artistic, and allow them the space to make mistakes and be people.
• The family travels several times per year and it is imperative that their nanny travel with them on domestic and international trips. It is rare that both parents would be traveling for work at the same time; however, in that instance, they will expect their nanny to stay overnight.
• A family vehicle can be provided for job-related duties.
• The family has a housekeeper for deep cleaning 2 times per week.

Requirements:

• 5+ years professional nanny and family assistant/household manager experience
• Extensive experience with toddlers & school age children
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19, Tdap, flu
• CPR + First Aid certified upon job start
• TrustLine Registered or willing to be
• Valid driver's license & valid passport
• Verifiable references

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
