Personal Assistant / Household Manager – Bay Area (East Bay)
Summary
The Personal Assistant / Household Manager will be responsible for maintaining two residences and assisting with an additional property as needed. He/She is a self-starter who takes initiative and has a deep passion for organization, planning, communication and cleanliness. The Applicant must have a keen eye for detail, be reliable, and service-oriented.
Duties and Responsibilities
The employee's duties include but are not limited to the following:
Home Maintenance:
- Light Housekeeping and general home upkeep
- Coordinate regular maintenance and repairs for the property.
- Oversee contractors and service providers.
Staff Management:
- Hire, train, and supervise household staff/service providers (such as housekeepers and gardeners).
- Create schedules and assign tasks to staff members.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of household supplies and equipment.
- Order and restock items as needed.
Laundry & Dry Cleaning:
- Handle laundry and ironing.
- Coordinate Dry Cleaning
Household Organization:
- Streamline and organize household processes.
- Create and maintain efficient systems for daily tasks.
Grocery Shopping:
- Plan and organize meals based on dietary preferences and restrictions.
- Grocery shopping and meal preparation coordination.
Calendar Management:
- Manage the family calendar, including appointments and commitments.
Personal Shopping:
- Assist with personal shopping for clothing, gifts, and other items.
Administrative Tasks:
- Handle correspondence, emails, and other administrative duties.
- Maintain records and important documents.
Technology Management:
- Oversee and manage household technology systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues.
Special Projects:
- Undertake special projects as assigned by the family members.
- Coordinate renovations or home improvement projects.
Personal Assistance:
- Provide general personal assistance to family members.
Confidentiality:
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding family matters.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Three plus years of hands-on experience on a large private home(s) with substantial longevity in past position(s).
- Excellent references from past employers
- Fluent in spoken and written English and an effective communicator
- Strong computer skills (e-mail, google calendar, planning application, etc.)
- Experienced in managing and training housekeepers
- Must pass an in-depth background investigation, including a cyber/social media risk evaluation
- Must be able to work flexible shifts that may include holidays on occasion
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism
- Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, squat, crouch, bend and crawl. Ability to lift, push and pull required load (approximately 30 lbs.)
- Ability to work with existing team and to work independently as needed

Compensation:
- $35 - $42 per hour | DOE
- Paid Time Off
