Summary/Objective
The Sample Lab Technician is responsible for producing faultless and high-quality samples and compound mixtures in accordance with R&D and customer specifications.

- Follow safety protocols meticulously and maintain a clean and organized work area, upholding a culture of excellence in safety and cleanliness.
- Compound recipes for various products, including syrups, bases, ready to drink beverages, and other food related products with a commitment to excellence.
- Accurately measure and weigh ingredients according to recipe and batch size; Follow all operating instructions from applications and recipe management.
- Homogenize, pasteurize, carbonize, fill and package samples according to operating procedures.
- Carry out quality checks in terms of sensory properties and in accordance with chemical and physical specifications. (e.g. Brix, Acidity, density, PH, taste and color)
- Ensure all raw materials and chemicals are returned to the proper storage area.
- Complete all paperwork and batch documentation on a daily basis
- Ensure an exchange of information within the division and with interfaces.
- Monitors all temperatures on batches that require heating and cooling.
- Document efficient and effective processes within the company’s IT system.
- Gather raw materials and intermediate products specified in recipes from the warehouse inventory or cooler by requesting form inventory control or weighing and pulling materials independently.
- Support management / team in the event of a complaint in conducting error analysis and creating new sample.
- Report repair and maintenance requirements to the respective team member; check the execution and subsequent commissioning.
- Implement in house procedures and guidelines on hygiene, HACCP, food safety, occupational safety and environmental protection.
- Follow shipping procedures to ensure customer receives samples according to company standards.
- Assists other compounders as needed.
Competencies
- Basic math skills (e.g. knowledge of pounds, kilos, and grams)
- Problem solving/ Analysis
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds, walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work with limited supervision/ in a team environment
- Must be able to follow safety rules, operating procedures, batch recipes and material identification.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
