Job Summary/Basic Function
Maryville University seeks a proficient and driven Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator to join our vibrant team. This individual will spearhead the development, implementation, and maintenance of our institution's Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. The ideal candidate will possess fluency in Email Marketing, Journey Builder, Social Studio, and Advertising Studio within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. The Marketing Cloud Administrator will automate engagement strategies, build and manage list segmentation, and manage campaign configurations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, collaborating across departments to optimize marketing strategies and streamline processes, ultimately enhancing student engagement through targeted campaigns.
To be successful, the candidate will demonstrate robust expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud functionalities, ensuring the seamless execution of successful marketing initiatives. They must have a service-oriented mindset, a passion for technology and innovation, and be committed to fostering a culturally diverse atmosphere for faculty, staff, and students. Qualified candidates should possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate technical details to non-technical staff in an understandable way.
Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Administration:
• Daily administration and support of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. This includes, but is not limited to managing user setup, permissions, and roles.
• Manage data quality and ensure data integrity within the platform.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and enhancements.
• Stay up-to-date with Salesforce updates and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and integration points.
Campaign Management:
• Design, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, etc.).
• Create personalized and targeted email communications, utilizing segmentation and automation features.
• Implement best practices for email deliverability, A/B testing, and optimization.
• Partner with the Marketing and Data teams to create campaign and recruitment KPI reports for performance and to guide future strategy.
• Develop a test and measurement strategy, monitoring, and reporting on email performance to build email messages for increased engagement and conversion.
• Maintain corporate visual identity and brand standards while following digital marketing best practices.
Collaboration and Support:
• Collaborate with business users to understand their requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions.
• Provide training and support to end-users to maximize platform utilization and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide technical assistance as needed.
Reporting and Analytics:
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track campaign performance and key marketing metrics.
• Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
Documentation:
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and training materials are up-to-date.

Minimum Qualifications
• Associate degree or 3 years of equivalent professional/technical experience.
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification(s) preferred.
• Proven experience of 3-5 years working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including hands-on administration and implementation.
• Experience with Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Social Studio, Landing Pages, and Marketing Cloud Personalization.
• Strong understanding of marketing automation principles and best practices.
• Proficient in data management and analytics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience/working understanding of Salesforce Data Cloud/CDP
• Experience with Power BI/Tableau
• Experience with Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot)
• Proficiency with HTML/CSS; ability to create and code using furnished content and assets
• Experience in Higher Education
