Job Description:
ThunderYard is looking for a skilled Salesforce Administrator to join our team. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for deployments, day-to-day maintenance, and overall system improvements of our Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Salesforce’s best practices and functionality (including leading release management using Salesforce’s Copado platform), and will be a proactive problem solver, capable of delivering Salesforce solutions to our users.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment with several users.
- Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasks.
- Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.
- Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations.
- Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests.
- Assist in training new users and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization.
- Maintain data cleanliness and integrity in systems by conducting regular data cleanliness analysis and necessary cleanup tasks.
- Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development requirements.
- Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Keep up to date with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices to maximize platform potential.
- Lead the end-to-end release management process utilizing the Copado platform.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Salesforce releases, including deployment planning, sandbox management, and post-deployment validation.
- Manage and track multiple releases concurrently, ensuring successful and timely delivery.
- Implement Copado best practices for version control, branching, and merging to maintain code quality and integrity.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator.
- Preferred Certified Salesforce.com Administrator (ADM-201), Advanced Administrator (ADM-211 or ADM-301) or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
- Strong data management abilities.
- Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred.
- Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
