Form of workThe primary purposeof this role is to support the sales strategy of selling / marketing ofblueberries in the Americas market, by assisting in managing clientrelationships, programs, logistics, and logistics suppliers in order to ensure preciseexecution in the delivery of orders in North America.
Key Performance Outputs
- Primarily focused on coordinating the "final mile" end-to-end logistics for all customers that have delivered terms
- Ensure On-Time delivery requirements are met
- Communicate loading and delivery updates promptly to all stakeholders
- Manage and account for freight costs
- Monitor rate fluctuation within the freight market throughout the season
- Act as primary contact for all freight vendor partners
- Review annual performance of freight for each customer
- Develop annual budget parameters for final mile freight costs for each of our customers
- Help to manage and execute the sales and logistics processes of the fruit and ensure the accuracy of information flow
- Assist with customer quotes and costings
- Communicate Purchase Order updates to all relevant stakeholders
- Assist in managing client relationships on a day-to-day basis
- Present actionable information and insights to team members.
- Collaborate with team members and members of other departmentsEnsure that vendor information forms are sent to all vendors in a timely manner and are complete and correct
- Ensure that the company vendor agreements are passed along to all department stakeholders.Ensure that the grower always gets the best possible return
- Assist in keeping growers informed with relative market information e.g., Expenses against Sales such as Logistics
Requirements
Qualification / Experience
- Suitable tertiaryqualification / BComm Degree with a Marketing / Logistics major or similar degree
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar role
Functional / Technical
- Computer literacy: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent e-mail etiquette.
- Fruit marketing knowledge and some degree of product knowledge.
- Famous / iTrade / SPS and other Vendor Portal experience advantageous.
- Experience managing freight and logistics services for perishable fruit.
- Efficient support to sales team.
- Close collaboration with Warehouse and QC staff in Supply chain department.
