As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in pipeline development, focusing on generating new business opportunities and laying the groundwork for long-term growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively identify and engage potential clients within the e-commerce and high transaction volume SaaS industries, focusing on executive leadership and finance management teams.

  • Leverage a variety of channels, including email, LinkedIn, phone calls, and targeted research, to generate new leads and re-engage with existing contacts.

  • Conduct initial discovery calls to assess potential client needs and introduce them to the value proposition of the Blue Onion platform.

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and align efforts with the company's overall growth objectives.

  • Utilize CRM tools (such as HubSpot, Apollo, Notion) to meticulously manage and track your sales pipeline.

  • Act as a liaison between potential clients and the sales team, ensuring a smooth transition from initial contact to deeper sales conversations.

  • Embrace a culture of continuous learning and development, with ample opportunities to advance your career within a rapidly growing fin-tech organization. Blue Onion prefers to promote from within, and SDRs move into a new role within 12-18 months.


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in a B2B SaaS or technology-driven environment

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively generate leads and manage a sales pipeline

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak with executive level

  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in using CRM (Hubspot) and sales automation tools (Apollo)

  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to achieving sales targets

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams, including product, marketing, and revenue departments, to drive company-wide goal

  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding quota

  • Owner of your work, constantly looking to learn and have a “get it done” attitude

  • Great relationship builder and networker
