Job Description: Sales Development Representative
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) specializing in Health and Human Services Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, you will play a crucial role in generating leads, qualifying prospects, and initiating the sales process. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and engage with potential customers within the health and human services sector, focusing on organizations that require robust EHR solutions to streamline their operations and improve patient care.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Utilize various channels such as cold calling, email outreach, social media, and networking to generate a steady stream of leads within the health and human services industry.
- Prospect Qualification: Conduct research as directed on potential clients to understand their needs, challenges, and decision-making processes. Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure alignment with our EHR solution.
- Outbound Communication: Initiate contact with prospects through personalized emails, calls, and social media to introduce our EHR system, articulate its benefits, and schedule follow-up discussions with the sales team.
- Industry and Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the ideal customer profile, their challenges, our ability to provide value, and our competitive differentiation. Effectively communicate this knowledge to prospects to address their inquiries and objections.
- CRM Management: Maintain complete and accurate records of all prospect interactions and activities in the CRM system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to strategize outreach efforts, share insights from prospect interactions, and coordinate follow-up actions. Provide valuable feedback to improve lead generation tactics and sales processes.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings within the health and human services sector. Use this knowledge to tailor sales pitches and position our EHR solution effectively.
- Metrics Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead conversion rates, outreach effectiveness. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize performance.
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of work experience in customer service-related field(s). Experience in Healthcare SaaS sales or related field preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives, clinicians, IT professionals, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Familiarity with CRM software preferred (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and understanding of EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
