Southern Baked Pie Company, a growing family-owned business, is seeking energetic, flexible, and
highly motivated Retail Sales Associates to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to grow in

Essential Responsibilities:
- Complete retail associate training process • Demonstrate regular, dependable attendance and punctuality • Work as part of a team with a commitment to continuous learning • Maintain product knowledge by participating in all education and training opportunities, to
include, but not limited to, monthly store meetings • Provide outstanding customer service to every customer, meeting and making a connection with
customers by asking questions and listening to customer’s needs • Develop and cultivate relationships with new and existing customers by getting to know their
stories and sharing the Southern Baked Pie story, both its history and its future narratives. • Become a product expert and provide product suggestions in order to meet the needs of each
customer • Suggestively sell pies and other food products and merchandise • Keep customers informed of products and promotions • Achieve established sales goals • Perform store opening and closing responsibilities • Master and manage the POS system by entering customer orders, operating cash registers,
managing financial transactions, balancing drawers and preparing deposits • Manage the phones and “tablets”, including customer orders and questions • Maintain a clean, organized and safe retail environment by keeping the store clean and supplied,
following proper food handling sanitation procedures • Set up for and work off-site events, as requested • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous retail sales
experience preferred, but not required.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to speak clearly
and be understood by all customers. Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents and
procedure manuals.
Physical Demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing
and standing for long periods of time. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and
climbing ladders. Involves lifting up to 30 lbs.
Work Hours: Retail schedule is Monday through Saturday. Holiday and weekend availability are a
must; flexibility to work hours that may include early mornings, evenings and weekend shifts.
Additional Skills: Enthusiastic and friendly, with a strong customer-service based approach. Ability
to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remain flexible to the needs of the business.
Ability to work as part of a team, take initiative independently from manager and also follow direction
from manager. Courteous and calm manner when handling a difficult customer or dealing with an
emergency situation.
