About the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology
The College of Computing has been a leader in defining modern computing as a paradigm that combines the foundations of theoretical mathematics and information science, the force of invention in computational systems and processes, and interdisciplinary practice that integrates innovation in computing with all facets of life. Today, the college comprises five schools that offer unique academic programs and conduct research specifically related to their concentration areas: Computer Science, Computing Instruction, Cybersecurity and Privacy, Interactive Computing, and Computational Science and Engineering.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities include:

    Plans, organizes, and coordinates college-wide ongoing academic assessment programs, projects, and activities measuring student learning.Supports faculty with the advancement of academic assessment and improvement of student learning through effective outreach efforts.Works to develop assessment plans to monitor progress towards program learning objectives and goals. Coordinates academic assessment activities for compliance SACSCOC standards related to assessment and educational effectiveness and assists with other specialized accredited bodies. Collects and reviews program accreditation/review assessment data to assist programs/schools in implementing findings for continuous improvement and identification of opportunities to expand student learning opportunities. Reviews and provides feedback to programs on assessment plans and progress. Provides assessment information to the school leadership to assist with college decision-making as relates to strategic planning. Works with the Institute's Office of Academic Effectiveness in preparing reports on the quality of institutional assessment efforts. Performing quantitative and/or qualitative analysis of assessment and institutional related dataAssist to create and maintain assessment website for the college.

This is a hybrid working position.

Required Qualifications

This position vacancy is an Open Rank announcement. Research Associate I

    Bachelor's degree

Research Associate II

    A Master's degree and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree, orA Master's degree and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor's degree, orA Doctoral degree.
Preferred Qualifications
    Master's Degree3 to 5 years of experience with a programming language (SQL, Python, etc), statistical software (SPSS, STATA, SAS), and experience in research design and program evaluation methodologies.
