Job Summary:
The Residential/Builder Sales Associate is responsible for selling tile, stone, and LVT to our residential customers. Specifically, they provide interior design advice and product expertise to the builder and residential design community. This person will build strong client relationships by effectively communicating with customers and following up to ensure sales closure. They will ensure the showroom is merchandized to support sales activities.
This position demands a highly motivated and creative individual with a passion for design and razor-sharp attention to detail. This person must be able to communicate essential information in an organized, logical way. Critical to their success is the ability to communicate effectively and be a positive team player in a fast-paced environment. In this role, the Residential/Builder Sales Associate must be flexible, organized, and be able to maintain relationships with clients.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Provides interior design advice and product expertise, facilitates tile and stone selection, and project development/support ensuring the completion of selection/sales for all customers. Where applicable, utilizing CRM project management software.
• Prospects for new business with an emphasis on Custom Home Builders and Residential Designers. Makes outside sales calls as needed and follows up on leads to grow and drive business. Utilization of Salesforce.com is required for maintaining client relationships.
• Maintains relationships with local tile installers to ensure pull-thru of selections and on-time ordering for installation.
• Effectively communicates with customers and internal team members to follow lead and ensure tracking/follow up and sales closure. Reports sales closures monthly.
• Organizing periodic events inside the showroom with trade organizations.
• Involvement in local industry organizations to develop industry relationships and acquire new customers (e.g. NKBA, HBA, ASID, etc), some of which requires attending events after business hours.
• Leverages showroom to drive sales by ordering and maintaining showroom samples and merchandising to ensure relevant samples are on display for the clients. Has responsibility for the ordering and maintenance of the relevant products needed for the showroom.
• Responsible for the physical update/maintenance of the product changes in the Showroom

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
• 2-year degree or 2+ years of experience in industry related field
• Ability to work with different people across many disciplines effectively.
• Experience designing and selling building products is preferred.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
