Description:
The Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Neuroscience Institute is seeking to hire a Postdoc Fellow/Research Associate to conduct and support scientific experiments under the guidance of principal investigator, while also managing the individual project, investigating the role of ion channels in neurological disorders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: PhD or MD required from an accredited college or university
- Experience: 2-4 years of related experience

Immunization
IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment. Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and participates in a variety of duties to assist investigators in data collection, verification, and compilation of research information related to various fields of research which may include behavioral, community-based and/or clinical research as requested.
- May assist in protocol design.
- Investigates and proposes alternative experimental procedures for consideration by a principal investigator.
- Assists in planning and scheduling research procedures.
- Under general supervision, performs a variety of defined research and laboratory tests and experiments according to prescribed protocols and assigned schedules.
- Sets up experiments as prescribed by a principal investigator.
- May be responsible for demonstrating and training others in the proper use/operation of laboratory techniques and equipment.
- May conduct literature reviews for related research developments and techniques and compiles findings.
- May monitor the handling, storage and disposal of hazardous substances.
