JOB TITLE: SALES ANALYST

MAJOR FUNCTION:
The Sales Analyst will be responsible for compiling and analyzing sales and market data and providing valuable feedback and actionable insights to guide sales activities. The Sales Analyst is data-driven and collaborative, working cross-functionally to support account development and growth. S/He should be able to analyze large amounts of data, accurately project sales trends, identify sales opportunities, and provide practical guidance to optimize sales strategies and increase market share. They will partner closely with the sales leadership team to develop regional strategies and thereby maximize revenue for the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and champion new analytic opportunities and approaches to support market growth and sales.
Analyzes large sets of data (sell-in, sell-out, inventory on hand) from multiple sources (BIG, partner's reports, Looker, Hubspot, RSM, Navision) and thru various angles (by partner, market, channel, POS type) to interpret performance.
Creates meaningful reporting, tools, and methodologies to communicate performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis; aimed at improving inventory productivity, automating as needed.
Generates ad-hoc reporting for owners, CCO, sales, operations, marketing and/or product strategy as needed.
Understand sales data and participates in sales team conversations about how to manage/adapt to achieve targets.
Work closely with VP of Sales and Sales Team in developing an accurate yearly forecast.
Assist in reviewing forecasts and projections by region on a monthly, quarterly basis.
Create company-wide re-story recommendations based on store-level analysis, recommend new products based on product knowledge and account history.
Provide regular recommendations and point of view on returns and inventory levels to achieve net sales targets and gross margin targets.
Ownership of BIG program, developing reporting, inventory management and maintenance.
Serve as a business partner to Operations, Finance, and Product Strategy to ensure execution of deliverables and identifying potential risks.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Previous experience with ERP/Sales programs (Looker, Hubspot, BIG) a plus.
Strong strategic thinking skills and capability to handle complex concepts.
Proven ability to influence people with and without direct reporting relationships.
Demonstrated flexibility and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to tailor messages appropriately to audience.
Self-starter with ability to deal with ambiguity.
