Office Location: Pensacola, FL
But we are open to filling this role with a remote candidate residing in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, or the Florida Panhandle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Account Manager has a defined territory for which they will be responsible for all customers, contacts, and sales activity in that area working in conjunction with the Regional Team
- Develop, cultivate, and manage the relationship with customers at multiple levels of an organization and be able to work through objections.
- Focus on key customer accounts and grow the business with existing and new customers.
- Effectively plan territory visits with assigned accounts through calling to set scheduled meetings. Follow through on provided qualified leads to set appointments and win new business.
- Prospect new and existing customers through cold calls, digital communication, and marketing to drive and develop new opportunities.
- Gain technical expertise in our customers’ industries in order to recommend solutions from our full range of service offerings.
- Generate proposals and quotations that satisfy customer and organizational requirements.
- Capitalize on service recommendations provided to customers in a timely fashion.
- Be a key member of the team that strategically negotiates projects with customers when necessary.
- Analyze market conditions and make recommendations to the Director of Sales and Marketing and the Regional Manager
- Participate in select trade shows as required.
- Analyze sales data to proactively strategize ways to secure, grow and restore market share in the geographic region.
- Use OASIS CRM for accurate, thorough, and timely recordkeeping of the sales process.
- Up to 80% weekday travel, much of which involves overnight stays. The other 20% you will spend working in the regional office and/or home office.
- 3 - 5 years of sales experience
- Ability to prioritize customer and internal follow up and communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- The ability to work independently and manage your time efficiently.
- Ability to learn and understand mechanical and technical aspects of manufacturing and industrial equipment.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
What Will Put You Ahead:
- Experience selling services in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Outside Sales Experience
- Experience managing and selling in a multi-state territory.
- BS degree in preferably in Business or Engineering
- The ability to understand complex mechanical issues.
- Aptitude with 3D modeling or scanning software solutions or metrology equipment.
