Professional Safety Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Field Safety Advisor to oversee the safety of a High Voltage Electric Transmission project in Colorado.

Expectations

Health and Safety Professionals at ProSafe serve in a dual role: where the initial objective is to operate in a consultative capacity by providing expert support, guidance, and motivation to operations management and employees at all levels. In addition, along with management, the Health and Safety Professionals at ProSafe are expected to be a hands-on partner in delivering various safety initiatives and programs specifically to develop a safety culture supporting the goal and daily mission of “making safety simple but no simpler” in the course of any work performed by our clientele.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a titled Safety Professional for high voltage utility safety experience (mainly Transmission).
• Understand the primary hazards associated with Energized Work, De-Energized Work, Grounding, Backfeed, EPZ, Overhead Transmission and Distribution Operations
• Hold a current CSP or CUSP
• Be able to identify and communicate Critical Observable Actions associated with above and below ground distribution high voltage utility work.
• Discuss Opportunities of Improvements with contractor crews.
• Write high-quality observation reports for each observation performed on a contractor crew.
• Track crew visits to see each contractor crew at least 1 time per month.
• Research contractor safety documentation and become a Subject Matter Expert.
• Proficient in technical writing and reporting.
• Proficient in the use of Google Suites (Gmail, Sheets, Drive, etc).
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to operate individually and as a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPR/First Aid Certified
• Knowledge of Local 47 RedBook and OSHA 1910.269 - Electric power generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Knowledge of CAL OSHA Title 8 High-Voltage Electrical Safety Orders requirements.
• OSHA 30 Hour or similar.

Highly Desired, Not Required

• Journeyman Lineman with safety experience.
• Degree in Occupational Safety & Health

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift

Experience:

• Electric utility safety: 5 years (Required)
• Transmission: 5 years (Preferred)
• Crane: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Colorado: Relocate before starting work (Required)
