Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm
8 hours of Safety, must be available to work over time and some weekends.
The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of environmental health and safety programs, as well as providing support and guidance in various human resources functions related to the company. This position requires an understanding of environmental regulations, safety procedures, and HR best practices.
- Develop and implement environmental health and safety policies, programs, and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct daily inspections in the warehouse and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide training and awareness programs to employees on topics such as fire extinguishers training, Bloodborne Pathogens, hazard communication, forklift training, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, emergency response, personal protective equipment, etc.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent reoccurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with environmental health and safety regulations and industry best practices, and make recommendations for updates to policies and procedures.
- Weekly Meetings, Monthly Topics, Completing Injury Reports.
